The $29.99 Recharge alternative.

Recharge runs $99–$499 a month plus transaction fees. Daima ships the same Shopify subscription stack — widget, portal, analytics, loyalty, affiliates, churn prediction — for one flat price. Here's what you actually pay at $1K, $10K, and $50K MRR.

The math

What you actually pay at $1K, $10K, and $50K MRR.

To match Daima Pro's feature set on Recharge — bundles, loyalty, SMS, JavaScript SDK — you need Recharge Plus. Below: the math at three MRR levels, all assuming a $50 average order value.

Monthly recurring revenue Daima Pro Recharge Plus¹ You save
$1,000 / mo20 orders $29.99 $517.70$499 + $14.90 + $3.80 $507.71/mo
$10,000 / mo200 orders $29.99 $671.00$499 + $134 + $38 $661.01/mo
$50,000 / mo1,000 orders $29.99 $1,359.00$499 + $670 + $190 $1,349.01/mo

Recharge Starter ($99/mo) is cheaper as a base fee, but excludes bundles, loyalty programs, SMS, and JavaScript SDK. If you only need the core subscription stack, Daima Pro is still cheaper at every MRR level: at $10,000 MRR, Recharge Starter runs ~$286/mo (base + 1.49% + 19¢ per transaction) vs Daima Pro at $29.99/mo.

  1. ¹ Recharge Plus pricing: $499/mo + 1.34% + 19¢ per transaction, 12-month commitment. Math assumes $50 AOV. Verified from getrecharge.com/pricing on 2026-04-27. Your actual cost will vary with your AOV and order count.

Feature parity

What costs extra on Recharge.

Recharge gates several core merchant features behind the Plus plan ($499/mo, 12-month commitment). Daima ships them all at $29.99/mo flat.

Recharge Starter ($99/mo)

Available — but these features are NOT included:

  • Customizable bundles & build-a-box
  • Loyalty programs (Rewards & Referral)
  • Concierge SMS
  • JavaScript SDK & Storefront API
  • Tiered discounts
  • Hands-on implementation

To unlock the above, upgrade to Recharge Plus at $499/mo with a 12-month commitment.

Daima Pro ($29.99/mo)

All of the above, plus:

  • Loyalty tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) with stacking bonuses
  • Gift subscriptions with branded recipient emails
  • Affiliate program with HMAC-signed dashboard
  • A/B testing for widget variants (14 settings)
  • Churn prediction (0–100 risk scoring)
  • Custom CSS injection & priority support

Cancel anytime. No 12-month term. See full pricing →

$29.99 is the ceiling. There is no enterprise tier. There is no “contact sales” gate. There is no upgrade trap built into the price.

Honest answer

Where Recharge is the right call.

Recharge is the most-used Shopify subscription app for a reason. Not every store should switch.

Stay on Recharge if

  • You're at $25M+ subscription GMV and need their enterprise tier's custom implementation, dedicated CSM, and volume-negotiated rates.
  • Your stack is deeply integrated with Recharge-specific APIs (custom storefronts, third-party integrations built against their JS SDK).
  • You're mid-term on a 12-month Plus contract — wait it out, then re-evaluate at renewal.
  • You rely on Recharge's Concierge SMS for subscription rescue and don't want to rebuild that flow elsewhere.

Switch to Daima if

  • You're under $25M subscription GMV and your current Recharge bill is north of $200/mo.
  • You want loyalty, bundles, A/B testing, and churn prediction without paying $499/mo to unlock them.
  • You want a flat predictable bill, not a percentage that scales with your revenue.
  • You'd rather work with a small team that ships fast than a large vendor with quarterly roadmaps.

If you're switching from Recharge

Migration is self-serve, by CSV. You export from Recharge, rename the columns to Daima's, then import and activate from the Daima admin. Subscribers keep the billing dates and cadences they were on, and nobody is back-billed — the migration guide covers the cutover order that stops anyone being charged twice. The exception is subscribers with no usable payment method on their Shopify customer record — PayPal and wallet-only ones — whose contracts still import and activate but come through flagged, so you'll need to email those customers and ask them to re-subscribe. Reshaping the file is the real work: Recharge splits what you need across four separate exports that have to be joined, and Daima matches column names literally. If you'd rather not do that, email your exports to [email protected] and we'll do it for you — turnaround depends on your subscriber count, and the migration guide has the current figures. There is no setup fee. There is no migration fee.

One thing to know: Recharge's Plus plan has a 12-month commitment. If you're mid-term, you can install Daima alongside Recharge to test it on a new product line before you cancel. The two apps can coexist on the same store while you evaluate. Full migration guide →
