Changelog · Updated as we ship

What we shipped. And when we shipped it.

Daima releases land here as soon as they're stable. Newest at the top. No marketing translation, no quarterly recap, no "we've been busy" framing — just what changed and what it does for your store.

  1. App update

    Gift subscriptions that finish themselves

    • Gifts end exactly when they should. Every renewal counts down the gifted deliveries automatically, and the final one completes the gift and cancels the billing — the gift buyer is never charged beyond the duration they paid for. No manual bookkeeping required.
    • The "keep it going" moment. When a gift wraps up, the recipient gets a branded invitation to continue the subscription on their own — with a direct link to the product. Gifted months become subscribers.
    • Gift buyers stay in the loop. A purchase confirmation when the gift email goes out, and a "they redeemed your gift" note the moment it lands — the payoff moment gifting was missing.
  2. App update

Referral links that carry the discount

    • Every affiliate gets a shareable link. Anyone who clicks it lands on the store with the affiliate's discount applied automatically at checkout — no code to remember, no code to type. Perfect for bios, video descriptions, and stories.
    • Click tracking, built in. Every click is counted per affiliate. Affiliates see their clicks and click-to-order rate on their dashboard; merchants get a Clicks column and a one-click Copy link button on the affiliates list.
    • Zero setup. Links work on every theme with no storefront changes, ride the same code as always — product scoping and discount modes included — and appear automatically in each affiliate's welcome email.
  3. App update

    Analytics you can read anywhere

    • Charts fill their cards at every screen size. The revenue and activity charts now draw at the real width of their container instead of floating letterboxed in wide layouts — edge to edge on ultrawides, crisp on phones.
    • Charts speak keyboard and touch. Focus a chart and use arrow keys to inspect any day; tap on touch devices. Screen readers get real descriptions instead of silence.
    • A legend that tells the truth. Named series with swatches that match the marks, in Daima's own chart colors — violet for attention, hot orange for money.
    • Your store's real name, everywhere. Emails, the dashboard greeting, and the affiliate portal now show your store's display name from Shopify — no more hash subdomains standing in for your brand.
  4. App update

    Affiliates apply — you approve

    • Affiliate application form block. Add it to any page from the theme editor. Applicants submit their name, email, Instagram / TikTok / YouTube, and — if they want — their preferred discount code, checked for availability on the spot.
    • Review from your dashboard. Applications appear under Program Stats with social links at a glance. Accept creates the affiliate with your program defaults and their requested code; deny declines politely. One click either way.
    • Three branded emails carry the conversation. Application received, accepted (with their code and dashboard link), or declined — each headed with your store's name so applicants always know who's writing.
    • Pause anytime. A toggle in the Applications card closes submissions without touching your theme — the form tells applicants you're not accepting right now.
  5. App update

Product-scoped affiliate codes, visible payout dates

    • Choose which products affiliate codes work on. A native product picker in Program Settings scopes every affiliate code — ineligible products get no discount, and a cart with none of your chosen products politely reports the code as not applicable.
    • Commissions follow the scope. With scoping active, percentage commissions pay on eligible line items only — affiliates earn on what their code actually discounts, not the whole cart.
    • See your payout period at a glance. The Payouts card now shows the current 30-day period, its close date, and days remaining — computed with the same math the payout engine runs, so it can never disagree with your emails.
  6. App update

A widget editor you can trust

    • The preview is the widget now. The editor preview renders the storefront widget's actual code and styles, so what you see is exactly what ships — and your Custom CSS applies live in the preview too.
    • Desktop / Mobile preview toggle. See the widget at phone width with its real mobile styles — including your Pro mobile font and padding overrides, visible in the editor for the first time.
    • Two new widget options. Savings badge placement (everywhere, tab and total, or tab only) and a frequency selector style that shows plans as visible rows instead of a dropdown — so customers compare savings without opening a menu.
    • Fixed: Card and Minimal corner styles. These editor options previously fell back to Rounded on the storefront. They now render exactly as previewed.
    • Accessibility, baked in. Proper tab semantics for screen readers, a keyboard-reachable gift checkbox, 44px touch targets, and a redesigned gift form with room to breathe. Not options — defaults.
  7. Site v2.0

    A full site redesign

    • New design system. Flat surfaces, two brand lights, a floating pill nav, a three-tier pill button system with invert hovers, and growth-based scroll animations on every page — always subscribed, always growing.
    • New homepage hero. A live product-page demo: the real Subscribe & Save widget customizes itself — a ghost cursor picks accent colors and types discounts and button copy into real editor fields while product photos rotate behind it.
    • Mobile-first touches. Feature cards become a swipeable rail with dot navigation on small screens, with inertial smooth scrolling sitewide.
  8. App update

Affiliate payouts, PayPal sign-in, and the multi-store portal

    • One-click affiliate payouts via PayPal. Commissions accumulate into 30-day payout periods; when a period closes, the merchant pays every affiliate at once through their own PayPal Business account. Daima calculates, the merchant approves, PayPal delivers — funds never pass through Daima. Payout docs →
    • Log in with PayPal for affiliates. One-click dashboard sign-in — and payouts to signed-in affiliates target their PayPal-verified account, making typo-lost payments impossible.
    • The multi-store affiliate portal. An affiliate promoting several Daima-powered stores sees all their programs, stats, and lifetime totals in one branded portal after a single sign-in.
    • Hardened dashboard access. Emailed one-click sign-in links replace code+email entry; payout-email changes trigger automatic security notifications; PayPal connection is required before a merchant can enable affiliates at all.
  9. App update

    The affiliate program engine

    • Recurring commissions. Affiliates earn on every renewal a referred subscriber makes — not just the first order. Attribution survives the whole contract lifetime.
    • Percentage or fixed discounts per affiliate code, three discount modes (full, first-order-only, tracking-only), and automatic Shopify discount creation and cleanup.
    • 7-day confirmation holds so refunded orders never pay commission, with automated conversion notifications to affiliates.
  10. App update

Billing engine, contract migration, and merchant controls

    • Recurring billing engine. Daily billing cron with retries, configurable failure handling, and branded billing-failure emails to subscribers.
    • Switch from another app, seamlessly. CSV contract import now activates real billing subscriptions that pick up exactly where the customer left off — same schedule, same pricing.
    • Merchant contract controls. Pause, resume, cancel, and archive any customer's subscription from the admin.
    • Analytics precision. Tenant isolation audit plus HMAC-verified storefront analytics — every store's numbers are airtight and cross-store leakage is impossible.
  11. App update

Brand-grade emails and a redesigned admin

    • The full transactional email system redesigned on the brand: gifts, affiliate welcomes and conversions, payout notices, billing alerts — each with proper legal footers.
    • v1.0.0

Daima launches on the Shopify App Store

      • The full subscription stack, live. Subscribe & Save widget, customer self-serve portal, subscription management, analytics, loyalty tiers, gift subscriptions, A/B testing, churn prediction, checkout upsell, and the affiliate program — one install. Install on Shopify →
      • Admin dashboard overhaul. A modern KPI dashboard in the Daima brand system, responsive from wide desktop to mobile.
    • Mobile-first touches. Feature cards become a swipeable rail with dot navigation on small screens, and inertial smooth scrolling runs sitewide.
  12. App update

Affiliate payouts, PayPal sign-in, and the multi-store portal

    • One-click affiliate payouts via PayPal. Commissions accumulate into 30-day payout periods; when a period closes you pay every affiliate at once through your own PayPal Business account. Daima calculates, you approve, PayPal delivers — funds never touch us. Read the payout docs →
    • Log in with PayPal for affiliates. Affiliates sign into their dashboard with one click — and payouts to signed-in affiliates go to their PayPal-verified account, making typo-lost payments impossible.
    • The multi-store affiliate portal. An affiliate promoting several Daima-powered stores sees all their programs, stats, and lifetime totals in one branded portal after a single sign-in.
    • Secure dashboard access. Emailed one-click sign-in links replace code+email entry, and any change to a payout email triggers an automatic security notification.
  13. v1.1.0

Comparison pages, About, and an SEO refresh

    • New page: /vs-recharge/. Side-by-side comparison with Recharge. Verified pricing math at $1K, $10K, and $50K MRR. Honest "where Recharge wins" section.
    • New page: /vs-loop/. Side-by-side comparison with Loop Subscriptions. Same shape, different argument: Loop's transaction fees are lower than most competitors, but Daima Pro is still cheaper at every MRR level.
    • New page: /about/. Founder voice, four commitments, and operating company facts.
    • SEO meta refresh on every page. Tightened all titles to 50–60 chars, all descriptions to 145–155 chars. Added page_robots override and set noindex on /404. Pricing page now signals as og:type=product with structured price tags.
    • Brand renamed to Daima Subscription App. Tagline added: Always subscribed. Always growing. Updated SoftwareApplication, WebSite, and Product schemas to match.
    • New FAQ entry on /pricing/. "Is there a free Shopify subscription app?" — uses the keyword phrase naturally and explains Daima Free's no-subscriber-cap differentiator.
    • Footer "Compare" column added. Sitewide internal links to /vs-recharge/ and /vs-loop/ for SEO link-graph and discoverability.
    • Shared page patterns moved to main.css. .big-head, .pr-section__head, and .cta-band now render correctly on every page (not just homepage and pricing).
  14. v1.0.0
