Free vs Pro.
Daima ships with two plans. The features are the same. The pricing model is what differs — and at certain volume thresholds, one becomes obviously cheaper than the other.
The two prices
Both plans are billed through Shopify Managed Pricing — whatever payment method your Shopify account has on file is what gets charged.
Daima Free — $0/month
- $0 base fee
- 2.5% commission per subscription order, capped at $50/month
- You'll never pay more than $50 in a calendar month, regardless of subscription volume
- No expiry, no usage limit, no subscriber count limit
Daima Pro — $9.99/month or $99.99/year
- $9.99/month flat (or $99.99/year — saves about 17%)
- Zero commission on subscription orders
- 7-day free trial — full Pro access, no credit card required until the trial ends
- Cancel anytime from Shopify admin or the Daima Billing page
What's in Free
The core subscription stack — enough to launch and run a subscription program on day one:
- Unlimited subscription plans (no plan-count limit)
- Subscribe & Save widget on product pages
- Widget customization — colors, typography, labels, 4 layout styles
- Customer self-serve portal — skip / pause / resume / cancel / change billing date / swap product
- Subscription contracts dashboard
- Basic analytics — widget views, Add to Cart clicks, conversion rate, subscribe preference

What Pro adds
The full operator toolkit — analytics depth, retention features, conversion experiments, affiliate & loyalty mechanics:
- Revenue analytics — Subscription Revenue and New Subscribers with period-over-period comparison and CSV export
- Churn Prediction — 0–100 risk score per active subscriber, recalculated daily
- A/B testing for widget variants, with statistical significance built in
- Loyalty Tiers — configurable tiers with stacking discounts that compound on subscription renewals

$9.99 is the ceiling. Pro unlocks everything in Daima — there is no enterprise tier above Pro, no "contact sales," no premium add-ons. The most expensive Daima merchant pays $9.99/mo. Whether you're at $1K or $50K MRR, the price never compounds.
The break-even math
The Free plan's 2.5% commission caps at $50/month. So:
- Below $2,000/month subscription revenue — Free is cheaper. You're paying less than $50 in commission.
- Above $2,000/month subscription revenue — you've hit the $50 cap. Above that, Free still costs $50/month flat. Pro at $9.99 is now ~5x cheaper than the cap.
Concrete examples:
- $500/mo subscription revenue → Free costs $12.50 (2.5% × $500). Pro costs $9.99. Pro is barely cheaper but eliminates the per-order overhead.
- $2,000/mo subscription revenue → Free hits the $50 cap exactly. Pro is $9.99. Pro is 5x cheaper at this point.
- $10,000/mo subscription revenue → Free still $50 (cap). Pro still $9.99. Pro is 5x cheaper, and the gap is a constant going forward.
The break-even point is around $400/mo subscription revenue. Below that, the math is close enough to be a coin flip. Above $2,000/mo, Pro is unambiguously the right choice.

How to upgrade or downgrade
From the Daima admin, open Billing in the left nav. The page shows both plans side-by-side with your current plan flagged. Click Upgrade to Pro (or Get started free) and Shopify's Managed Pricing handles the rest — payment authorization happens through Shopify's billing flow, not Daima.
- Upgrades take effect immediately. If you're starting a new Pro trial, the 7 days begin from the click.
- Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. You stay on Pro through the cycle you've already paid for, then switch to Free at renewal.
What happens to your data when you downgrade
Nothing is deleted. Your subscriber data, plan groups, widget settings, A/B test history, loyalty tier configurations, and affiliate codes all stay intact when you move from Pro to Free.
Pro features pause rather than disappear. Active A/B tests stop accumulating new variants. Loyalty tier discounts stop applying to renewals. Affiliate codes stop tracking new conversions. Churn risk scores freeze at their last value. Re-upgrade to Pro and everything resumes from where it stopped — no data is lost during the Free period.
The practical effect of downgrading: Pro features go inactive AND subscription orders start incurring the 2.5% commission again (capped at $50/mo).
Refunds and cancellation
If you're unsatisfied within 14 days of your first paid Pro charge, email [email protected] for a full refund — no questions required. After 14 days, future months are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to stop further charges.
Cancellation is one-click from your Shopify admin under Apps, or from the Daima Billing page. There's no minimum term, no cancellation fee, and no retention flow to fight through.
